Creating new commercial space in Colchester
This new office development close to Colchester town centre forms a significant part of Colchester Amphora Trading’s strategic focus on generating income to support the delivery of frontline Council services.
The first phase of the high quality commercial development, Amphora Place I, was let to Birkett Long Solicitors, who took occupation of the 17,500 sq ft (1,625 sq m) building in June 2017.
The chartered insurance broker Aston Lark has taken on a 10-year lease for Amphora Place II (completed Spring 2019) comprising 10,000 sq ft (929 sq m) of Grade A office space. This has set a record rent for the town, demonstrating a proven and increasing need for exceptional employment space within the Borough.
